Located in the southern sector of Bwindi, when you are at Clouds lodge as its name implies, you feel you are on top of the world from your very first gaze across the landscape that simply takes your breath away.
The lodge has 8 stone bedrooms of which two are family units for people traveling together. All rooms have twin basins inside the bathroom with both hot and cold water running. The lodge uses hydro electric power and all rooms have plug in points and cosy fire places inside. The main building has a reception , dinning , a bar and shop Facilities. It also offers a soft and lush finishing of great artwork and turned wood from Uganda artists. The main building also has six fires places with comfortable ‘Laid back’ chairs for uninterrupted views of the forest.
This luxurious/ exclusive lodge can be accessed by flight at the nearest airstrip in Kisoro which airstrip is just 45 minutes drive away from Clouds Lodge. . By Road it is a long days drive.
This lodge is convenient for people tracking gorillas of either Nkuringo or Nshongi and Mgahinga. If you are tracking gorillas of main Bwindi, I wouldn’t advise you to opt for this lodge.
