You will be allocated in groups and then given rangers who will walk with you in the jungle as you search for these habituated mountain gorillas, he will provide you with all the information that you may need about the flora and fauna that you will meet in the jungle and this exercise takes between 4-6 hours which means, you will have to leave the hotel with your lunch boxes.

What To Expect

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO L.MBURO NATIONAL PARK

You will meet a tours guide from AA safaris and tours when you arrive at the airport, he will be the one to drive you to the park. You will drive through Kampala to Masaka and till you get to Mbarara where this park is located. This drive takes about 3-4 hours and you can always make it there if you do not arrive late inn the afternoon. You can always stop over at a few places like at the equator to take some pictures, at Royal Drum makers in Mpanbire before you continue to Lake Mburo National Park.

This Park is an extension of the Tanzanian plains with big herds of zebra, impala, eland, topis, bush bucks, water bucks and other animals. Bird watchers can also expect to see lots of them among which is Uganda’s crested crane, there are the African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike. After checking in at the lodge where you will spend the night, you will take a late afternoon canoe/ boat ride. Later return for dinner;

Day 2: LAKE MBURO TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

You will wake up to an early morning game drive in the park and this is the perfect opportunity to see almost all the animals in this park, the different vegetation. After the game drive, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is home to the mountain gorillas! Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge of your budget;

Day 3: GORILLA TRACKING | BWINDI

Your breakfast will be served early enough, have your packed lunch, and then have your driver take you to the park headquarters before 8:00 am to be briefed about gorilla tracking. You will be allocated in groups and then given rangers who will walk with you in the jungle as you search for these habituated mountain gorillas, h will provide you with all the information that you may need about the flora and fauna that you will meet in the jungle and this exercise takes between 4-6 hours which means, you will have to leave the hotel with your lunch boxes.

With all the required gear for tracking, you walk into the jungle and once you meet the gorillas, you will have an hour to sit in the jungle to watch the gorillas care for their little ones, feed them, play with them, and each other, so you can take as many pictures as you wish to have. Later after that hour, you will walk out of the forest back to the hotel. Mountain Gorilla tracking is probably one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.

Depending on the time you return to the lodge, you may or not go participate in a guided village walk to interact with the indigenous Batwa Community and then later return to the lodge for dinner. Your hotel will in most cases be the same where you spent the previous night.

Day 4: DEPARTURE | KAMPALA OR ENTEBBE AIRPORT

After your morning breakfast, it will be time for your to drive back to Kampala. Your lunch will be probably in Mbarara and later proceed to Kampala- to the airport if you are flying out of the country that very day.
