You will wake up to an early morning game drive in the park and this is the perfect opportunity you have seen almost all the animals in this park, the different vegetation. Animals that you should expect include the big herds of zebra, impala, eland, topis, bush bucks, water bucks, Uganda kobs, giraffes, and birds like the crested cranes and if you are lucky, you might see the shoe bill stork too .After the game drive, you will have lunch and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a home to the mountain gorillas! You will wake up for the early morning game drives during which you will search for the wildlife in the park and you can expect to see the lions, buffaloes, kobs, might see the Pythons in the grass, Elephants , hyenas, warthogs, birds’ hippos and many other savannah wildlife. The game drive usually ends by midmorning and then you return to the return to the lodge so that you can have your full mid morning breakfast and then relax as you wait for your lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will go for the boat trip along the Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George and from the boat, you can expect to see the bird species including the migrants’ species of bird like the pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. The highest concentration of hippos will be seen in water and at the shores. After wards, you will drive back to the lodge where you will have your dinner and an overnight
You need to have breakfast early enough on this day so that you can get to the briefing point in time. You have to carry packed lunch because you will not have time to return to the lodge for lunch as gorilla trekking takes between 4-7 hours depending on where they are and it can take longer hours during the rainy seasons when hiking is not easy. You will be allocated in groups and then given rangers who will walk with you in the jungle as you search for these habituated mountain gorillas, he will provide you with all that information that you may need about the flora and fauna that you will see in the jungle. With all the required gears for tracking, you walk into the jungle and once you meet the gorillas, you will have an hour to sit in the jungle to watch the gorillas care for their little ones, feed them, play with them and each other, so you can take as many pictures as you wish to have. Later after that hour, you will walk out of the forest back to the hotel. Mountain Gorilla tracking is considered to be one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. You will walk back to the lodge where you spent the previous night in most cases, there you have your warm dinner.
After your morning breakfast, it will be time for your to drive back to Kampala. Your lunch will be probably in Mbarara and later proceed to Kampala, stop over at the equator to take pictures if you are interested or buy some souvenirs at Mpambire drum makers’ point or any other place. The guide will take you at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe where you spend night and the next day will pick you to take the airport. This night will be spent at;
