Gorilla trekking, Wildlife, Chimp trekking Best of Uganda Safari and Tour

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ENTEBBE AIRPORT
Our tour guide will come meet and pick you at the airport and transfer you to Kampala and if you have arrived early in the day, you will then go for a short Kampala city tour. This will involve visiting some of Kampala’s historical sites or the Kabaka’s trail and these places will clued places like the museum, mosques, churches, markets while the Kabaka’s trail includes visiting places like the Buganda’s rich heritage of the tombs in Kasubi or you can go for some entertainment by some traditional groups like the Ndere troop — with dance, music, craft-making, spiritual healing and story telling. Other places to visit include the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Buganda Museums, The Kabaka’s palace and craft centers. Your night and dinner will be at the hotel of your budget

DAY 2: KAMPALA | MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
This journey takes about 7 hours therefore immediately after your breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, you will meet your guide and start on your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will take the route through Luwero or Hoima then to Masindi from where you will connect to Murchison Falls National park. You will visit the top of the falls when you get to the park to have a clear view of the falls from the top. From there, you will check in at the lodge where you will have your dinner too.

DAY 3: UGANDA SAFARI | GAME DRIVE | BOAT CRUISE | MURCHISON FALLS
After your early morning breakfast, you will go for a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile and that means you will need a ferry if your lodge is on the southern bank of the river. You will search for savannah wildlife like the Rothschild Giraffe, Jackson Hartebeest, Lions, Elephant, Waterbucks and a variety of Savannah woodland birds. You will return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast and then later have your lunch. In the afternoon, you will take part in the afternoon launch cruise along the Nile boat cruise to watch aquatic mammals towards the bottom of the falls at close proximity. Expect to see lots of hippos and crocodiles at the shores of the river and some savannah wildlife like Buffaloes taking water along the river banks. You will also see plenty of birds that include; brightly colored kingfishers, bee-eaters and if you are lucky, you may see shoe bill stork along the riverbanks. At the end of the day you will return to the main land and then drive back to the lodge for the night

DAY 4: MURCHISON FALLS | FORT-PORTAL
After breakfast, you will drive from Murchison Falls and head to the Fort Portal where Semliki & Kibale Forest National Parks are situated. You will have lunch en route because the journey takes about 8 hours which means, you will get to your lodge in the evening hours. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge of your choice depending on your budget

DAY 5:  FORT-PORTAL | SEMLIKI
You will have your breakfast, carry you packed lunch and then afterwards go to visit the crown and hot springs in Semliki, visit the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rain-forest. This village visit has proven to be a very an interesting cultural experience. Later in the afternoon you will drive back to Fort Portal. You will arrive in the evening then take dinner and an overnight at the hotel where you spent the last night

DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING SAFARI – KIBALE FOREST
Have breakfast and then go for briefing at Kibale Forest National Park, just before you can start your chimpanzee search. This forest has the highest population of primates among which are the famous chimpanzees and tracking these is the main activity done in this park, there are also black white colobus monkeys, wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, there are butterflies too of different species and many other attraction. You will have met the chimpanzees by midday and will walk out of the park, have you lunch and then in the afternoon, you will go visit the Crater Lake region and view the various Crater Lakes. In the evening, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and sleep over

DAY 7: KIBALE | QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
On this day, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, have an en route game drive during which you will have an opportunity to see a few animals like the Uganda Kob especially, the elephants may be along side the road as you drive through the park and a few other animals and birds species. You will check at the lodge when you get to the park, you will have your lunch and then will go for the afternoon boat ride on the Kanzinga channel that connect s both lake Edward and George. During the boat ride, you can expect to see the birds in abundance, both the typical and migrant birds as well as so many other water animals especially the hippos, the crocodiles, Buffaloes, elephants and other animals will be spotted along the shores grazing or taking some water.

Day 8: GAME DRIVE | BOAT CRUISE – KAZINGA CHANNEL
This day, you will have a morning game derive which means you will have to wake up early, have your breakfast and then go for the early morning game drive to search for the wildlife in the park. You can expect the elephants, lions, buffaloes, kobs, hyenas, warthogs, birds’ hippos, among so many others in their natural habitat. You will return to the lodge by midday so that you can have your lunch and in the afternoon, you will go visit the Katwe salt lake, so that you can see how the salt is mined and locally extracted. You later drive back to the lodge for an overnight;

Day 9:  GAME DRIVE – ISHASHA SECTOR | BWINDI FOREST

Go for a game drive in the Ishasha sector to serach for tree climbing lions, before you emabrk on the Journey to

DAY 10: GORILLA TREKKING | BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
You will have to carry packed lunch with you on this day. After breakfast, the guide will escort you to the starting point of tracking where you will be allocated a ranger who will guide you in the jungle. After briefing by your ranger, you will enter the forest, hike for a number of hours as you search for these gorillas but your ranger should be able to guide you as he may have a clue as to where they might be depending on where they were the previous day and he will also give all the information you need to know about the gorillas, the plants in the forest and the birds as well all the other attraction. Gorilla tracking takes between 4-8 hours but all this time you will spend and the energy is worth spending when you meet them. You will have an hour with them in the jungle to take picture, watch them care and protect their little ones, witness the dominancy of their silverback. This exercise my be very difficult especially during the rainy season which is why a degree of fitness is an advantage otherwise you might have to be carried out of the forest. After the  Gorilla Tracking safari,  you will return to the lodge where you spent last night unless there is some sort of other arrangement

DAY 11: BWINDI | LAKE BUNYONYI
You can chose to have a community village visit of the Batwa or go for a guided nature walk in Bwindi impenetrable forest. This decision should be based on whether they should use the village trial or one of then different trails in the park. Village visit or nature walk, you will have lunch and afterwards drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight will be at either

DAY 12:  LAKE BUNYONYI | RELAXING
Not denying the inevitable rigorous day at Bwindi, most clients will cherish some relaxing moments on the shores of this peaceful lake. Tourists will choose among the various tour activities. They can choose to go birding, cycling, and sun bathing, swimming or even canoeing. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi Overland camp. Overnight will be at the lodge still

DAY 13: LAKE BUNYONYI | LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up very early in the morning, take breakfast and then start driving to Lake Mburo National Park which takes about 4 hours. You can have your lunch in Mbarara town and then proceed to the lodge to check in and then later go for the afternoon game drive during which you will see various animals like the water bucks, bush bucks, topis, elands, impalas, buffaloes, antelopes and the highest population of Zebras you can ever find in any other park in Uganda, among so many others. There are also so many bird species with many of them being the crested carne. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel of your choice

DAY 14: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK | JINJA
In the morning, you will transfer to Kampala and he straight to Jinja going through Uganda’s biggest natural forest and there you will visit the Source of the River Nile. You can visit places like Bujagali Falls, the Source of the Nile and a number of fishing villages if you have enough time. Dinner and overnight will be at;

DAY 15: CITY TOUR (DEPENDING ON FLIGHT TIME) AND DEPARTURE.
Take breakfast, and then transfer to Kampala, if your flight is late at night, you can enjoy a partial City tour, visit places like the Namugongo shrine, Kasubi tombs, do some craft shopping and a few other places that may be suggested.
